What's stored & where weather comes from

Browser storage (not cookies): One item is saved in localStorage under the key shoptopless.forecast.v1. It contains your location label, latitude & longitude, and your doors-off threshold preferences. Nothing in this key is ever sent to our servers. To remove it: open browser DevTools → Application → Local Storage → delete shoptopless.forecast.v1.

Weather data: Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a free, open-source weather API, to retrieve the 7-day forecast. No personal identifiers are sent; only lat/lon. See Open-Meteo's terms.

Location lookup (ZIP or GPS): ZIP codes are resolved via Zippopotam. GPS coordinates are reverse-geocoded via BigDataCloud 's free client-side API to get a city name. Only your coordinates are sent, no account or key required.
